If you are after 50mm lens, Summarit-M 2.4/50 has no asph. lens.

As I had Summilux-M 50 asph. (sold it, less used in my 50mm), I think that Summarit-M (I use now as said 2.5/50) can be a nice candidate.

Even without asph. lens :p.

Didn't realize someone already mentioned the fact of 50 options without ASPH to match rendering (somewhat anyway) of 24 SEM.

As well as the Summarit I couldn't resist and bought a pre-order 7Artisans 35mm f/2 Sonnar, to ship in June 1st.  Nothing at all like the 24 Elmar or anything else, but just couldn't resist...

I bought 24mm Elmar after struggling with two 21 SEMs. My prime lens was 35mm FLE and I wanted to add something wider.

Eventually, I found my 24mm shots better and more compelling then those from 35mm FLE.

My two lens combo was supposed to be 35 FLE and 75mm APO, but now when I think about it 24/75 provides more keepers.

Don’t get me wrong, 35mm has its place in my bag, but if I wanted to add something to 24mm Elmar, it would be 75mm APO. The gap seems huge, but it works for me.

I as get older I seem to prefer wider lenses.  28mm seems pretty standard to me now and I like the immersive experience of using 24mm and wider.  I still like a 35mm or a 50 though.

I’ve used the 24mm Elmar and the 50mm Apo together in many situations (e.g., Southwest Canyon Lands) and find them to be a particularly useful compatible match: compact, high resolution, high micro and macro contrast wide open and stopped down, low CA, wonderful color saturation ... and a similar Leica Look on my M240.

I can remove a 75mm from the set, even when a shoot may suggest one, because of how easily the very high resolution 50 Apo crops — as your high resolution 24mm crops well to a 35mm perspective.

Of course, they complement each other also in how the the 50 Summicrn provides more speed. They may constitute a very powerful 2-lens compact set, for certain types of photographic situations.

Yes the 50 Apo is expensive; however, it is out long enough now to find a good used one. Try a rental first.
