Yes of course. Street photography is everything about daily life in the public space. And IMO ‘life’ is an essential part of it, which distinguishes it from cityscape, architecture, landscape, etc.

Kentmere 400 developed in HC-110. Top photo Leica M3 50mm Collapsible Summicron, 2nd Photo Minolta Rokkor 50mm. SAME ROLL OF FILM.

Leica almost no grain, Minolta is grainy.. Yes lenses can cause grain. Noted photographers have said same!

To me these call just little less development. Apx is prone to underexposure a bit at 400asa, so compensating the shadow density in development creates these grainy and dense highlights

It's not usually the lens causing grain on the same strip of film:  it's the combination of exposure and contrast.  Maybe one lens is more contrasty but exposure is the primary difference.  I don't know this film stock, but in general, under-exposure increases graininess.

Leica M6 + summicron 35 v4

Tri-x I think I pushed it to 1600 with HC110 dil B. If I remember well,

Plustek opticfilm scanned

I missed a bit the focus on him, while I was zone focusing, it happened really fast, and I wanted him to be aligned following the black and white posts in the frame

M3/50 Sumilux/Tri-X.  I sure wish I hadn't sold this lens.
