My remark wasn't really flippant, it came from from real experience.......I used to have a home high up in the Beacons, ( up from Llangynidr ), through the 70's.......And there were times when it wasn't raining for sure, but a few of those times were when the rain clouds were in the valley below the house and we were above the weather!..........It's a lovely part of the world to live in, I still miss it.........

Here's a "family shot" from that time in the Beacons, and yes, as you see it was raining!

Had to be TriX, a "Christmas Card" self timer photo' probably shot on one of my Nikon F2's or one of the Leica M2's that I owned / used back then.....

Love this mate who's is the Vespa?  or is it Lambretta

Thank you!! I'm actually not sure, it was a very lucky encounter. I happened to fill up and as I was leaving this dude probs in his mid 50s pulled in. I quickly asked him for a snap before heading off!

Love your photos of Bronte Beach, very ethereal the way the light hits. Beautiful

Good timing.  Love the way the colours in the petrol station tie in.

Thanks very much.  Bronte is a great little pocket of light in the morning. Not sure if you are familiar with the area but it’s 2 beaches along from Bondi beach.   The morning light is always very good at Bronte for some reason

I took this last Sunday on my M2 with 28 Summicron. I've had a roll of Cinestill 800T in that camera for months, and wanted to finish it. It's a film that works OK-ish  in daylight, but it's very grainy, with weird colour shifts. Had to correct a heavy orange cast on the original scan.

And it turns out that this is perfectly doable. It’s a great scan, it’s a sharp image and I like the grain. Good to see because I have this film in my recently acquired R7, thanks. I don’t know what you saw in reality but I like these colors, they are not freaky, which can happen today with brands as Lomography.

Thank you. I've shot 800T in daylight before, and found it to be a surprisingly flexible film, as long as you're prepared to dial out the strong red/orange cast. Obviously, not something you want to do too much, because it's an eye-wateringly expensive film!
