Hi,

sometimes there is a massive delay (4-5 seconds) between the exposure and the re-cocking of the shutter. I use the discreet shutter in single shot mode.

I did a google and forum search and found some older entries saying this is a known issue with M9/MM when using the discreet shutter.

Has this issue been fixed by now or do I have to live with it? Maybe it can be avoided in some ways? Or is the only way to get rid of that annoyance to use normal shutter mode?

Thank you so much in advance,

Chris

With my "old" Monochrom CCD, and some "old" batteries (that I discarded), strange things like "battery check" told half full (about 50% left on the bargraph), and only a couple of frames possible.

The last frame didn't "cock" (only shutter cocking when new battery inserted).

Have you replaced (if old) with newer battery ?

I haven't noticed this with my M9M when I'd set discreet shutter but then I just turned it off because it slows the camera down. Perhaps it needs checking, cleaning or servicing?

IIRC the issue was mainly when combining discreet with Thecontinuous mode, which is not a sensible combination.
