JohnnySeven Posted April 12, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted April 12, 2018 Im not a big Gretsch fan. To me they're clunky and are prone to feeback problems. Some of those guitars have been around the world with me a few times. Iv been playing since the late 70's. Professionally from the early 80's until the late 90's. RayD28 Posted April 13, 2018 Share #5 Posted April 13, 2018 Fun thread. Good looking guitars, Johnny. No Martins? FWIW, my nickname includes the model of my first nice guitar. A Martin D-28. Hope some more folks post pictures of their guitars. Ray

stuny Posted April 20, 2018 Share #15 Posted April 20, 2018 Johnny - Of the 13 guitars which I've owned (Mostly I'd sell one to get the next), my only electric was a Gretsch double pick-up anniversary model with Bixby tail piece - I bought it circa1959. I'm down to just guitar #10 and guitar #13. #10 was one of the two guitars I took with me in the summer of '64 driving around North America with my best friend, singing for our supper. We both ;lost weight. The Stones case of guitars was at a Stones exhibit in the Chelsea section of Manhattan about a year or two ago. IkarusJohn Posted April 28, 2018 Share #19 Posted April 28, 2018 Are the Jack Daniels and Camels a pre-requisite for making the most of the guitar?
RayD28 Posted April 29, 2018 Share #20 Posted April 29, 2018 Are the Jack Daniels and Camels a pre-requisite for making the most of the guitar? Ha!. They are my weak props. I should have done the guitars more justice but I was in too much of a hurry. On the rare occasion I have an audience, they say Mr. Daniels is their prerequisite for having to listen.
