pico Posted March 31, 2018 Share #42  Posted March 31, 2018 (edited) Agreed! Hope to see more to persuade My decision with the Lens  I'm going to blame you when I buy my mate a lesser model new car because I gotta have that lens. Maybe. "How do I love thee my dear? About 10K less than before Karbe's 75mm Noctilux."  Enough! Between you and Chaemono I must stop looking at this thread. About 10K less than before Karbe's 75mm Noctilux."Â Well well, i need to balance that $10k deficit for M75 Noctilux with $10k surplus for a jewelry piece that she wanted but didnt buy because i told her it is too expensive. Â So i must resolve a $20k challenge! Â Only hope is to wager on the lottery. Â For those who owns it, do enjoy and share lovely images that i can only dream. Cheers! Very impressive.

The bokeh is incredibly smooth and pleasant on this lens with nice colour/contrast, it’s hard to resist Welcome, dear visitor! jerrybay Posted April 1, 2018 Author Share #50  Posted April 1, 2018 Let the experimentation begin!  I was able to attach my lens to my M10 for the first time last night - sad how work gets in the way of play.  One lesson less discussed in these threads.  The 75/1.25 should come with the Viso 020 as part of the scope of delivery.  I tried all three standard focusing approaches, rangefinder was back-focused in calibration at 2m, live view - usable, but you need to compose on the screen you focus on, as the depth of field is only a few to a few tens of millimeters and any camera translation along the line of sight will result in a proportional shift of the focus plane, and Visoflex 020, which was most usable and stable for me.  Holding the camera to one's face is much more stable than holding at arms length when comparing the two live view options.  Back to the thread...  Eric Thanks for sharing your feedback with us Eric.  I have not used the viso20 so can’t give any comments, but I use live view with focus peaking about 50% of times for wide open shots and other 50% with rangefinder, the focus works great with both methods and it is a well calibrated lens for the Leica M10.  Hope to see some more sample photos with this lens.  Cheers
Chaemono Posted April 1, 2018 Share #51  Posted April 1, 2018 I caught some action at the horse racing track today. The weather was dreadful, freezing cold and rainy. So I left early. I’m not sure if I got anything good. Will have to go through them. Will post them later.

Chaemono Posted April 1, 2018 Share #53  Posted April 1, 2018 Let's start. I'm still going through them but a couple already to reduce the suspense. I'll do the wide open or almost wide open first. Then I'll post some stopped down to show some racing action. I absolute love this lens not only for its rendering wide open but also for its reach.  Less compressed JPEGs here: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-QH7gXM/  Unloading Welcome, dear visitor! Chaemono Posted April 1, 2018 Share #54  Posted April 1, 2018 I thought I'll throw in an action shot before continuing with the wide open or almost wide open shots. And this is the only racing action picture I'll show. It's a crop, upsized, and than some unsharp masking applied. Pre-focused at f/2.8 it's sharp enough to convey the suspense of the situation.  Less compressed JPEGs here: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-QH7gXM/  Neck and neck Welcome, dear visitor! tom0511 Posted April 1, 2018 Share #56  Posted April 1, 2018 (edited) I am mesmerized by stunning silky smooth bokeh of the 75mm Noctilux and is it just me that the 50 Noctilux seems a bit busy in comparison?  John  I would be interested to see both on the M10. 50 on the CL vs 75 on the M10 the first combo clearly looks more harsh and more CA,but how much is from lens and how much from sensor/combination? I find reflections from the adapter are an issue. The OOF areas with the 50 Noctilux on the M10 will look slightly, just slightly but noticeable to me, smoother than on the SL.

Camera sensor and lens combination certainly plays a part in the result with the lens and I would be interested to find out too
