skimmel Posted March 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know of wrist strap I could use for my S007 that fits without using the multi-function grip? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Hi skimmel, Take a look here Wrist strap without multi-function grip. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
FlashGordonPhotography Posted March 18, 2018 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2018 Assuming you mean a hand strap? A wrist strap lets the camera dangle a hand strap doesn't. Anything that fits the tripod screw will work as a hand strap. There are a few around. For a wrist strap Rapid strap is the most obvious, or Gordys. BernardC Posted March 19, 2018 Share #3 Posted March 19, 2018 I have been using the Peak Design hand strap. It attaches to the neck strap lug at one end, and to the tripod socket at the other. While it certainly looks worryingly weak, it has held-up quite well.
Udo Posted March 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted March 21, 2018 The SpiderPro Hand Strap feels quite comfortable and fits very well.

alan.y Posted March 21, 2018 Share #7 Posted March 21, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) The SpiderPro Hand Strap feels quite comfortable and fits very well. I like the SpiderPro too. It's very comfortable and customizable. But it's a little fiddly to install and detach, and isn't (yet) compatible with a tripod plate. The screw that came with the Spider Pro (or with mine anyway) was strangely too long for the 1/4-20 screw hole on the S to secure the base. In fact the screw hole on the S seems to be unusually shallow. I ended up having to get a bunch of washers at the hardware store, and then I found a defective (truncated) screw. TMKM Posted March 21, 2018 Share #9 Posted March 21, 2018 For me SpiderPro is splendid . I just use a trpidpod quick release or a RRS L plate to secure it. Whithout using the accessory provided.

helged Posted March 22, 2018 Share #11 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) I use it with the RRS L-Bracket for the S. Can you/someone post an image showing how the SpiderPro is fixed to the RRS L-Bracket...? Edited March 22, 2018 by helged
Bill W Posted March 22, 2018 Share #12 Posted March 22, 2018 I have never cared for wrist or hand straps and with the S007, my right arm would noticeably get a lot longer....
TMKM Posted March 23, 2018 Share #13 Posted March 23, 2018 Can you/someone post an image showing how the SpiderPro is fixed to the RRS L-Bracket...? Refer to B&H site search for SPIDERPRO HAND STRAP. There are a couple of photos
mgrayson3 Posted March 23, 2018 Share #14 Posted March 23, 2018 I used the SpiderPro hand strap with my 006 for a few months (it's the best hand strap I've used). I found, though, that the wide Peak Designs strap across my body was more comfortable and just as quick. Matt

While it certainly looks worryingly weak, it has held-up quite well. Agreed, I love the easy on and off and use the Peak Designs on my M’s as well. Seems to pack better with the straps off, and I got tired of using ring pliers to take straps on and off...
relms Posted April 11, 2018 Share #16 Posted April 11, 2018 Luigi makes a top-notch wrist strap, for the S or SL, that attaches to one of the lugs for the neck strap. I have a couple of them.
