Starwolfy Posted February 19, 2018 Share #1 Â Posted February 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, Â Can someone tell me if the CL and TL2 can manage to keep the self timer to 2 seconds without being forced to reengage it manually after EACH shot ? I am experiencing this behavior with the T and it seems there is no way I can lock the self timer for all the next shots...which is really really annoying. Advertisement Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Hi Starwolfy, Take a look here That 2 seconds timer.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
eraydinc Posted February 19, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted February 19, 2018 Did you try interval timer mode on CL? Â Â 500px.com/eraydinc
scott kirkpatrick Posted February 19, 2018 Share #3  Posted February 19, 2018 On the CL the self-timer stays at 2 sec (or 12 seconds) until you turn the camera off. That will reset it. This seems sensible to me.
jaapv Posted February 20, 2018 Share #4 Â Posted February 20, 2018 I am doubtful about the usefulness of two seconds. It is too short to stabilise a tripod and I cannot run fast enough to get in the picture,
Starwolfy Posted February 20, 2018 Author Share #5 Â Posted February 20, 2018 Unfortunately it seems the behavior is different in the T... Moreover, Leica doesnt provide any cable release either...and I don't want to rely in an App to manage such simple feature. Sad...
Jared Posted February 21, 2018 Share #6 Â Posted February 21, 2018 I am doubtful about the usefulness of two seconds. It is too short to stabilise a tripod and I cannot run fast enough to get in the picture, Â Â Yeah, I'm always suspicious about the 2s not being long enough to settle down, depending on the lens and tripod, and the thing I like even less about using the 2s delay is that I can't judge the right moment to take the picture from a "wind" perspective. Â If I want to minimize leaves moving, for example, in a landscape shot, I might want to wait a few seconds or even a minute and then hit the shutter when a certain part of my subject really settles down. Â That is much better accomplished with the iPhone acting as a remote release. Â Yes, I'm one of those people who actually uses the iPhone for this.
Starwolfy Posted February 21, 2018 Author Share #7 Â Posted February 21, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is exactly my problem. I am stucked with the 2 seconds timer as there is no way I can guess shot at 12 seconds because of the lighting change or wind... But I don't like the fact I need to rely on another device to get the wifi shutter release ! I just need a 2 euros cable...
Jared Posted February 22, 2018 Share #8 Â Posted February 22, 2018 Yeah, no cable release option. Â The iPhone works fine, though. Â A bit of a pain to set up (more button precesses than should be required in my view), but I have had no reliability issues.
david strachan Posted February 22, 2018 Share #9 Â Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) I've liked the M series, with it's switch to C, or T, and a release for a cable release. It worked for everything i wanted to do on a tripod. Â Â If you were taking 10 sec delay, could press "set" to cancel the timer, and start again. It's one of Leica innovations which i preferred over other cameras...plus you didn't have to refocus. ...
