LeicaFan1 Posted January 18, 2018 Share #46 Posted January 18, 2018 Leica NJ notified me on 5/18 that my sensor was defective and it would be replaced. I called to inquire on the status yesterday, and coincidentally, I was told the sensor was replaced and the Monochrome would ship yesterday, which it did.

Ronazle Posted January 18, 2018 Share #48 Posted January 18, 2018 Ah - I see, I thought you were still planning to send it in. The last I heard from the USA was early next year - more or less unspecified. Wetzlar appears to be running steady on about twelve weeks, New Jersey about double that. Out of fairness to NJ it should be noted that they can only install as many new sensors as they receive. I do believe that Wetzler provides (not to be confused with manufactures) the sensors. Hence..... Regards, Ron

gmo Posted January 26, 2018 Share #54 Posted January 26, 2018 And today I received my Monochrom back. It was sent early August 2017 and in November I received an update from Leica Customer Care that they we waiting on the required spareparts and excused for the delay. So today 26 January 2018 the camera is back with a postcard saying "Vielen dank für Ihre Geduld and Loyalität" - Many thanks for you patience and loyalty. As I put the process in motion before the 15th of August the replacement was done under warranty at no cost as promissed. So all in all some 5,5 months between sending from Belgium to Wetzlar and being back home. Welcome, dear visitor!
