coupdefoudre Posted December 6, 2017 Share #14 Posted December 6, 2017 If any of you ever swing by the little art town of Marfa, Texas you can lodge in the Paisano, the hotel where the actors and crew of the movie Giant stayed while filming. On the second floor (Floor 1 to some of you in Europe) are the rooms that housed Dean, Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor. The rooms are marked with brass plaques and are still rented. Marfa is also the home of the Chinati Foundation, numerous buildings housing minimal art. It was formerly a U.S. Army base and was purchased by the artist Donald Judd to showcase his and other's art. The art is very minimalistic and not especially to my taste - even tho I like minimal in my cameras!
