And here is nothing wrong with buying of M9 with replaced sensor and refurbished by manufacturer. You just have to decide if you like CCD rendering. It is different from modern cameras. On the screen and on the prints.

I am not the only one who feels that the M9 gives rather more „filmy“ renderings than any other digital camera they own or know. It might be CCD vs. CMOS or it might just be an idiosyncracy of the M9 as a system.

With colour images, there is a soft glow in the boundaries of indirect light that I hardly find in pictures from other cameras:

And in b/w there is a wonderfully luminous, yet soft tonality in greytones (even in conversion!):

Furthermore, at higher ISOs the noise gives an impression reminiscent more of film-grain than of conventional digital noise.

The examples may not really convey my meaning, because the perception comes gradually after seeing many pictures from the same camera in different lighting conditions - or maybe it is just my imagination ;-)

I checked, googled and asked. M9, M9-P, M-E photos. Post them here...  :)

It is never too late. M-E exposure number 857 in November 2016:

M-E exposure number 3678, same camera in September 2017 (I edited it little bit):

My M-E is still with original sensor and now with genuine worms like strikes.
