Posting something like this (comparatively innocent compared to some) in a public forum (granted you have to be a member to see the images here) have had some back and forth about. What are your thoughts? The paranoid part of me doesn’t want to get someone in trouble over a situation you know nothing about and might be I don’t know, clandestine…

That wasn't my though process at all.  It's just one picture among thousands here, like mine and everyone else's.

At the Hauptwache in Frankfurt. A passerby walks past an advertising column. Which picture do you prefer

M 11 Monochrom with Apo-Elmarit-R 1:2.8 /180. ISO 1250, f5.6, 1/1500

I think the version 2 may have a slightly better composition, although the background is quite distracting. BTW, have you edited her face, or is she just wearing a lot of makeup?

My wife and I were parked at the bar of a brewery in North Carolina having a couple of porters.  The pleasant fellow in the photo a couple of seats away was involved in a 6-way video chat on his phone while eating.  My Q3 was on the bar.  Once I set it down and pointed it to my right I did not touch it.  I used only the Leica FOTOS "app" on my iPhone to interact with the camera.  While this software leaves a lot to be desired and certainly needs some work (mostly with regard to responsiveness), it is useful.  1/250 sec, f2.8, ISO 10,000.  (In retrospect, I might have added .3EV but this could be done "post" -- a process I dislike.)  Cropped some using Windows "Photos" but otherwise not tampered with.  (I'm always amazed how well the Q3 does at high ISOs.)

You’re right I’m sure, clearly not here anyway. Sometimes I overthink these things. Which is probably a good thing to some extent

It's a great image Firebird, you have really captured the moment here. There could be a number of stories elicited from your image. That is what a good street photograph does. You might already know the concept of Street Photography and its documentative origins. It wouldn't be the first time that a published image has caused trouble but good on you for capturing this compelling and candid image on the street. Good work.
