This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. Yesterday I was in one of the many areas in Florida inhabited by vacationers/tourists.  I had my Q3 with me and thought I'd see if I could catch anything interesting.  I parked myself on a bench and left the camera on the bench between my wife and myself.  Manually focused and set the lens at F8, 1/500.  ISO was left to float (ended up at 4000) but set the exposure for .3 stop over.  I used the Leica FOTOS "app" to remotely control the camera so I never touched the latter.  I think what passersby really saw was a couple sitting on a bench in the shade and the old guy was messing with his phone.  There were only two minor things that got in the way -- the FOTOS app and the camera like to take naps -- often at the wrong time -- and the low camera angle required a perspective correction (I used software I despise -- Photoshop.)  Fun -- and nice way to waste half an hour.
