This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. That pub was pretty run down, not the nicest place to visit when I took this picture in 2013. It's since been transformed into a popular gastropub. I sort of like that things change, but your picture doesn't, it just becomes a historical document.

If the new pub still has this charm? Nice reflection to the picture, as a time document.

Thank you. The new pub is quite nice. It attracts a different clientele to the old one, and it's busy. The old place was always half empty, a bit of an old man's pub. I went in there once, and some young lads came in and went around the tables, trying to sell a bag of bacon.
