This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. I think, in general the pictures that are not shot in a studio are considered as “street”. It doesn’t have to be shot in a “street”.  My understanding of “street photography” is a documentary outside of a studio. It if it can tell a story, then it is even better! ;)

Everything in the public space is. And by tradition it mostly includes (special) people in (special) situations or in a special composition or moment. In fact the moment is the most important for being street photography, when we see HCB as the grounding father of it, or Elliott Erwitt, or Robert Frank. And with this photo there is no question about it, on the contrary, it is hard core ‘street’.
