Tom Barry Posted July 14, 2017 Share #1 Â Posted July 14, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Our suburb in Austin, TX, has quite a few whitetail deer and some are quite used to people, especially those who, like us, supplement their fodder. This mom had just finished a bunch of corn tortillas I sailed to her and she and the baby hung around for me to grab some shots. stuny Posted July 15, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted July 15, 2017 Lovely, delightful. Â Too many of their predators have vanished our way so deer tend to be in too many places.
Tom Barry Posted July 15, 2017 Author Share #3 Â Posted July 15, 2017 Thanks, Stuart. We've got coyotes aplenty (and I think a few cougars, though I haven't heard any reports in recent years) in our area. The biggest danger our suburban deer face is from automobiles. fotografr Posted July 18, 2017 Share #7 Â Posted July 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) That's one sweet looking fawn. My favorite shot is the second one. It would have been the first one but I'm bothered by mom's head being chopped off. Â Have you seen the viral video of the golden retriever saving the fawn from drowning? If not, do a Google search. It's very touching.
