Hi Pete, if nobody wants to dine with you, you always have the option to take the train at Den Bosch Central station and go to Tilburg ( it's a 15 minute ride ) . We can meet at the stadion and i'll show you a nice Berlin- style- restaurant there and afterward show you Tilburg " the sequel " by evening. But Den Bosch in the evening light is also very nice.

This is not a question directed to Paulus who has already done such a good job in arranging everything: since some of us will be around on Friday night are there any plans to meet up for a bite to eat somewhere in Den Bosch?  I expect to be arriving at just after 5pm and will be staying in the Golden Tulip near the centre so somewhere for a quick drink and something to eat at around 7 or 7.30 sounds like a nice idea.  

 

If anyone wants to keep in contact with me and doesn't already have my mobile number (which hasn't changed for 15 years or more) then please send me a PM and we can swap numbers.

 

If you'd like to be included in a WhatsApp group so we can all keep in touch over the weekend then please let me know and PM me your mobile number and I'll create a group and add you to it.

Please include Veronique and I in the whatsapp group. Not yet sure about my availability on Friday evening, but sounds like a good idea. There are some great restaurants in Den Bosch!

Sounds like a plan to me Pete. We get off the ferry in Dunkirk around 1:00pm so expect to be there by five/six'ish. We're at the Best Western which is in the centre of town. I'll text you once we get there.

I just reserved the last seat for dinner. 23. The Restaurant is out-booked now . If more Leica fans are coming , we have to split into a little sub group at dinner. 

 

 

As for the boat. The first 16 seats are reserved for the first 17 on the list ( as I will not sail )  . We'll see how many persons actually will arrive at the Bolwerk. There we can decide if a group of 4 /5 will embark around 16:30 ...

Is it OK if I bring a friend? He'll travel with me, so no boat and no dinner. His name is Maarten and he's also a Leica shooter.

 

O course he can come. I reserve an extra " bosse bol " for him.

Guys, I'd love to come, even considered a last-minute jump for a while, but am definitely out this time, absolutely no chance.

 

Enjoy the time, the food and sights and don't forget to get a Stroopwafel to keep your coffee warm :)

 

And don't forget to share some photos, I trust there will be a camera or two ;)

Many thanks for the advise Jaap but we are on the shorter Dover to Dunkirk ferry. Maybe next time a meeting is arranged in Holland.
