OK, so I have an SL and love it. Is it heavy? Yep! Still, it's awesome.

So, a buddy just got an M-240 brand new 6 weeks ago. He wound up in some trouble and offered to sell it to me with a Summarit 35mm, a view finder a Canon to Leica adapter. I traded a Rolex (Green Milgauss) that I bought on my honeymoon with my ex wife straight across. The watch is 8 years old.

I like to ride a motorcycle and shipped from the saddle and this is a lot less heavy for that purpose. I guess an autofocus Q would be easier, but I think I did ok, right?

In the UK, that watch would be worth around £4-5000 depending on condition, so it's not the best deal but not the worst. However, you've not got an amazing camera to travel around with so who cares if the deal was great or not.

Congrats! I too just bought my first Leica, a usedM240. I'd previously used a Mamiya 7II years ago (when my eyesight was admittedly much better) and had no issues then. With the M240, it took a bit of practice to regain the skills but all was good after 40-50 practice shots. Feels pictures are much better as I keep shooting and practicing.

After a month with the M my pictures are coming out very sharp (for the most part), with the usual misses here and there. Have been able to get sharp shots, even with a Zeiss 50mm Sonnar at f/1.5.

So keep practicing and enjoy!
