My first digital Leica was a silver / chrome M9-P, for which I also purchased a silver 50mm Summilux Aspheric with FLE to replace my old Summilux.

 

Attached the first two images with the new set-up ( taken in 2014 ).

 

Photo #1 wide-open at f1.4 - note that the headlight nearset to the car is somewhat 'soft', with the rest of the image in focus - my error, because I focused on the driver's side windshield post, putting the in-focus area behind the main part of the subject.

Photo #2, ( same camera / lens, same subject, lighting, etc. ) but with aperture reduced to f2.0, and focusing on the rear wheel, thus expanding depth-of-field / sharpness sufficiently to place the entire subject in sharp focus, while maintaining similar bokeh.
