Rick in CO Posted February 24, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) So here is my 'Stealth" M240. Removed the red disc after warming with a heat lamp, sprayed with Rust Oleum High Lustre Laquer paint. Let dry a bit then scraped off the 'Leica' lettering with a toothpick. Scraped out the white 'M' with same toothpick. Saved a bit of money, looks better than the MP IMHO. Welcome, dear visitor! sblutter Posted February 24, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 24, 2017 Hard to tell: does the finish match? I've got a naked one ready to go. Brushed on paint didn't come close
Rick in CO Posted February 24, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 24, 2017 Not strictly original. Slightly darker black, a bit more glossy with a slight granular texture.

Steve Ricoh Posted February 25, 2017 Share #8 Posted February 25, 2017 Maybe a dragon's den moment coming up. Why not go that extra step and stencil paint FujiFilm on the front covering all the offending Leica stuff. If that's not your fancy, what about the LUMIX L badge thingamy. Rick in CO Posted February 25, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted February 25, 2017 I had to look hard to see the camera in the picture, great job! What do you do about the photographer attached to it? The photographer has to constantly remind himself to take care when walking through 'questionable' neighborhoods. It helps to dress plainly, be aware of whats going on around and be 6'2" in good shape. And, as you see, I'm fond of Gargoyles!
Alo Ako Posted February 25, 2017 Share #10 Posted February 25, 2017 It`s looking very much better than the original logo!
epand56 Posted February 26, 2017 Share #11 Posted February 26, 2017 Stealth???? What can that be other than a Leica? You can tell it's a Leica a mile away, stealth or not stealth. Anything in these cameras cry «LEICA!!!» even under paint, tape or anything else.
Peter H Posted February 26, 2017 Share #12 Posted February 26, 2017 That shiny leather half-case could barely shout louder if you fitted a megaphone in the hot-shoe.
