The Q sensor has an amazing dynamic range. I shot this at -2EV to try and capture the circular outline of the sun burning a hole through the overcast. When I bought up the shadow areas in LR I was surprised at how little noise there was. I also processed it through Nik ColorEffex4 and again even after that the noise was minimal.

First outing with Q this morning. First is an old church door handle - SOOC b&w .jpg.  Second shows Silbury Hill and floodwaters. In-camera b&w .jpg, cropped and slightly adjusted in LR CC.  The camera is an absolute delight to use and whilst early days yet, is well on its way to making itself the default option for landscapes and general walk-about duties.

I received my Q yesterday (two day shipment from Herrington Co.).  These are among the first shots I took.  I am quite impressed even as a long-time Nikonic.
