Thank you for your kind words Iduna. The conditions yesterday were very tough but as you pointed out the golden aura over the mountain of Kötlufjall really framed the picture nicely. Had actually a tough time standing strong on top of one of the roofs here in Hauganes to catch this shot, but fortunately I survived to post it here. 

Yes, that is what I thought. It must have been quite a critical situation. It was worthwhile withstanding the atrocities of nature. Iceland is a challenge and demanding but it provides such a fantastic photogenic landscape and interesting geological wonders. Keep going with your awesome photography!

I hesitate to respond to the forum there are too many great shots but I wanted to test the Q macro function. I'm an engineer by profession by profession but I love the chaos of nature. I tested the Q macro function and my 60 mm Nikon is better over all the Q impresses the Heck out of me I could not take the other shots from the day with the single lens

Takayama Old Town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period (1600-1868), when the city thrived as a wealthy town of merchants.
