Red Rocks Amphitheater west of Denver Colorado. Opened in 1941 and the place for many, many famous musicians to play since then. The Beatles, U2, John Denver, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, James Taylor, ......... A must see if you visit Denver. It is the number 1 most visited tourist site in Colorado. It is modeled after the theater Dionysus at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. The location is considered sacred to 32 American Indian Tribes.

Wonderful.  Been to Colorado so often but never been here!  Must do so next time.  Thank you very much.

So, from the "Lets Try Something Silly" files.

Put the Q on top of the scope mount, tried some guided imaging.

In the past I have normally used the likes of an older Fuji XE1, or X-Pro1, these excelling due to their low noise and long as you want exposure times.

I need to delve a bit more but it seems the Q has an in-built sliding scale which pits ISO and exposure time (shutter speeds) against each other.

That and I need to work out how to trip the Q remotely, with the app, no wifi where I was, a short distance from the house.

This area is currently culminating, and is sort of centred on the Milky Way between Crux (the Southern Cross) and the Eta Carina Nebula (the reddish area just right of centre).

Leica Q

F1.7 90 seconds at ISO100

Minimal post-processing, and then shrunk for web posting. It seems to gather artifacts in doing so, the DNG is cleaner.

Wonderful Gary! Thanks so much. I played around with Leica's spotting scope at their store and have thoughts about using the Q for it as well. I think Infiniumguy has tried this also.
