GLC Posted January 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) This finder can even tilt upwards 90° and swivel to permit use in a wide range of situations. in preparation to receive my m10 i ordered the EVF excited about the fact that it is labeled to swivel. received it today and yes it tilts up 90' but it does not swivel ( which i took as it could swing side to side ). am i crazy and missing something here or is it just misleading advertising? thanks, grant

digitalfx Posted January 23, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2017 Its been out for over two years now...I never noticed this, but the German to English translations are always odd. But curious, how would you use a "swivel" with such a small finder mounted on top of the camera?
Mike51 Posted January 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2017 I suspect something got lost in translation. I suppose it was meant to state 'hinges between horizontal and upright' or 'levers up and down'. But as 'swivel' is just a single word, it might have won out for that reason
jdlaing Posted January 23, 2017 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2017 It swivels up and down.
Echo63 Posted January 23, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2017 But curious, how would you use a "swivel" with such a small finder mounted on top of the camera? Like you would for "landscape" orientation pictures, but in a vertical orientation. I believe there will be an adapter for the fuji GFX that allows its EVF to swivel side to side. ru2far2c Posted January 24, 2017 Share #10 Posted January 24, 2017 Will any third party EVF's work with the M10 similar to M(240)? I read some where that the either panasonic or olympus EVF would work with the 240.

SiOnara Posted January 25, 2017 Share #12 Posted January 25, 2017 Just received this email from the shop I made the purchase. 'Thank you for taking the time to contact us. There are indeed mechanical parts inside the viewfinder which are designed to move. Once locked into place on the camera and powered you will find that the components no longer move freely. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance' Seems fair enough.
