Never seen such a detailed sign on a door to take notice of before entry.

Go past this door and then: No smoking, no drugs, no alcohol, no pepper spray, no knifes, no guns, no fireworks or bombs or candles? Just to be sure pass and you are on video just in case, you have none of the above.

Leica M10 with Zeiss ZM35/1.4 and Voigtlander 21/4 lenses - the dynamic range and colour of the new sensor is so much better than what I was able to achieve with the M240

Interesting.

I much prefer the colour version. That's unusual for me, being a predominately B&W photographer,

The colour version looked alive and has a much better feel. The colours are restrained, yet balanced and add to the atmosphere and character of the subject. The B&W looks 'dead' and two dimensional by comparison.

I am very impressed with the colour from the recent Leicas, the Q, the SL and now, particularly, the M10.

Very surprising. Maybe the M10 IS the camera I've been looking for since my film days... and maybe I would find myself working in colour that little bit more often...

From a diehard Nikon F2A/Tri-x user from the seventies, to an originally reluctant, but now fully converted, digital user for the past 15 years, this is surprising.

I've had my M240P since it was launched and have loved it, but if I'm honest with myself, never truly bonded with it. Maybe I should take another look at the M10...

I agree that the colours are excellent, I just find they distract from the subject.

I also agree that Im impressed with the OOC colours from the newer sensors c/w the M240.

Similar feelings regarding the M240, one of the reasons I've sold mine and have an M10 on order.

However, I've never wanted to replace my Monochrome v1.

I agree with everything said. I prefer the color version by a lot (and I also generally prefer B&W).

Thanks for the kudo's, I'll pass them through to Leica for their M10.

I want to add here that this Amsterdam Café scene was made with the Summicron 35 iv, which gets a whole new life for me with this camera (not that it was dead on M9 and MM1, but I see my child grow up here and love it all the more)

Once you have converted pictures from the M10 into b/w, you will start to think it over ....

Hopefully I'll see soon for myself but I've a good workflow for the Monochrom v1.

I don't think ANY colour FF sensors match the Monochroms for resolution, tonality and that very different noise structure. However I accept that the files usually need more work to get the best out of them.

Perhaps an M10 Monochrom may tempt an upgrade ;-)

I want to add also that I develop in C1. Thus far, I have not been able to find my way with LR (most recent version) for M10 files and like the C1 conversions much better. BTW, there was no postprocessing of significance, ready in a minute.

Thanks for that. May well upgrade my version of C1.

Funny thing. I haven't used a 50mm in years, but my 35 and 90 both need to go in for 6-bit coding, so I needed a cheap - something - to fill the gap between 21 and 135.

Found a 1953 50mm Summarit f/1.5, took it to the St. Patrick's Day Parade today to test both it and the M10. Both color, and B&W conversions.
