All closed and empty at Lake Chieming during Corona. No restraurant, no boats, very view people. Still restricted movement and only people living in the area, and only within the own family, are allowed to take a walk.

35 Summilux ASPH pre-fle.

I go back and forth on selling this lens.. I have the 35 Lux FLE but there is something about the character of the pre-fle ASPH I really enjoy. I may try and see if one of the Voigtlander renders similarly.. maybe the Nokton Classic 35 1.4 MC (II) or the Ultron 35 1.7. I do also have the 35 Summaron 3.5 for "character" though..

Or maybe I just replace the 35 FLE with something similarly modern, like the new Nokton 35 1.2 III.

I don't know..

I think I have a 35mm lens addiction.

I am curious Brandon, other than that restlessness to sell a lens to try another, (for me usually because I'm not shooting enough) why it is you want to sell this one. The 35 pre FLE has been at the top of my list of lenses I might want, along with a couple others. I think of the f1.4 lenses, the Pre-FLE has the look I prefer and would best satisfy my purposes.  I am afraid to get one because of the cost and the fact that I value compactness. My 35mm Summicron is such a great go-to 35.  Is size a factor for you in not using it more?

I struggle with the pre-fle having character and being interesting to me vs the FLE being "perfect". When I shoot with the pre-fle I like the images, but in the back of my mind there's this voice like "it would've been sharper with the FLE".. :) For some, having ~$7,000 wrapped up in 35mm lenses is fine.. for me, I'm constantly looking at the FLE and the pre-fle and imaging what else I could be doing with that money if I sold one, and I'd still have a great 35mm lens regardless of whichever one I decided to keep.

I've posted the pre-fle for sale, but I may flip that soon and keep it and sell the FLE. GAS is a terrible affliction.. :)
