Pattyfrank,  Your photograph in Post 3820 is most excellent.  The color, light, composition, texture and almost 3D effect render IMO a photograph that makes one; Stop, Look, Think and perhaps Feel about this beautiful moment in time.  Clearly a landscape that captures the beauty of nature.  Superb!  r/ Mark

My thanks Mark. The topography in the Low Country is conducive to great color and textures. It is my 'lay theory' that the marsh gasses make for super variety. Cheers.

Met a girl at a festival yesterday who had become a victim of the mosh pit. Thought she looked pretty cool and asked if I could pull her aside and take her photograph.

The two tourists in the front are dressed for taking selfies. This is at the Thapae Gate Wall, where huge flocks of pigeons gather. The tourists feed them and then stomp for the pigeons to all fly up — a scene in which many of the tourists photograph each other. Thankfully, these two young women did not do that. Some of the children run straight at the pigeons to scare them; so do some of the grownups. Tourism at its braindead worst. There is a sign saying not to feed or bother the pigeons, but it’s only in Thai.

This is at the same site at the Thapae Gate Wall, as the image that I posted yesterday. These three tourists are posing for a selfie taken by a smartphone with a delayed shutter setting, mounted on a small tripod. From Chengdu, they spoke perfect English.
