I emailed several Leica VP's and no response from anyone... I feel like I am trying to purchase a Coke from a Pepsi dealer. Makes me wonder if I am really crazy playing this game at these prices.... I hear you! The m10 prompted me to move In (well alongside) from canon. I was initially told it was likely to be 4 months or so wait for an M10. I placed an order and also ordered a 1.4 lux. As there was going to be a long wait a also picked up a used M9 and a new 35 cron. With a view to trade the M9 in when the M10 came. Not only am I in a long wait list for the M10 I am now told there is a shortage of 50 lux in U.K. And I should expect it in June/July.....from an order date at the beginning of March. Meanwhile there are people posting up getting an M10 in a couple of weeks.. ...let's just say I am not enjoying my customer journey...and at these prices I should! I preordered it on Mar 9th and the dealer in Soho Leica store told me will be 3 months wait, I called them last week just to check how's the list going and they told me I'm still at the bottom half. I live in Hong Kong now though so didn't ask them whether they ship to the US. But I did ask them about other shipping companies such as FedEx- the reply I got was that they only work with Aramex. Wasn't an issue for me so I went for it. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but Leica UAE in Dubai still has the M10 in silver listed as "as to card" which IMHO means, it is in stock. They ship worldwide with FedEx.....and I have nothing to do with the shop except that I bought my stuff there and the sales people are super nice, helpful and very well informed. I don't know...just send them email. I know that they changed the shipping company and now are using FedEx but I think they do ship to the US. I know one guy who ordered at the end of January and got one. Most people who really wanted one early are finding them other places anyways. I highly doubt hundreds of people are holding out for cameras from B&H only. Its just one dealer. I think Leica wanted to create artificial product demand and so have been releasing them slowly but with the price change that policy will probably go away. They most likely do have orders in the hundreds. Somehwere in this bread Adorama told how many customers had ordered. With the price increase, in not sure how many will be moving around. I don't believe B&H is only still fulfilling orders from January 19th. I think I'm pretty close to getting one based on what I can tell. I know one guy who ordered at the end of January and got one. They can sell in whatever order they want, especially if someone cancels an order, who knows what happens. I got a Leica Sofort last December after it was backordered from B&H off Amazon.
