Glad to see you can now use the lens. If your copy is like mine, it should be quite sharp in the centre from f/1.5. To avoid polluting this image thread, I have replied in the Collectors & Historica thread with a suggestion for using a hood and/or filters.

M11 + 1946 'mystery' Sonnar 58/1.5 LTM (this one uncoated), wide open @ MFD (about 1m)

Yes i noticed that but did not had a lot of time to experiment about sharpness in correlation to shutter, but will do as i want to know how to use this lenses at best.
I already answered you regarding the hoods, i have them for both lenses and will verify lens flare.

For future reference, should anyone be interested in this lens...
First one wide one and second one @ f/5.6. Both handheld, hence the slight framing offset.
