M10P ASC + 2001 Summicron 28/2 ASPH v1, wide open

Should anyone be interested, I have posted a similar picture taken with the M10M and the SEM 21/3.4 (a current lens, not allowed here) in the "wide angle" thread.

M10P ASC + 2000 MATE v2 @ 50mm, wide open and 1/1500 s (the train was coming fast and I must have been too close, judging by the warning horn that the driver activated when he saw me squatting by the track...)

I don't know about South America(?), Ecar, but in the UK the loco driver is required to sound the horn when he sees anyone within 5 metres of the track.  If he sounds the horn you should acknowledge by holding one arm in the air.  (Don't hold both arms in the air because that's a universal command to the driver to immediately make an emergency stop to prevent the train from hitting a hazard the driver can't see yet.  Sorry, 30+ years on the railway/railroad.)

Thanks, Pete. There's always something to learn on this forum...

In any event, I was clutching the camera with both hands, and would have been unable to perform any gesture of that sort 😉

(Not LatAm, but US - more precisely Texas - as shown below in the 2nd picture I was able to grab)

Same camera, lens and settings.
