I don't know if you noticed the "L", David?

This is a version of the Pentax 43mm that was made in M39 screwmount (or Leica thread mount).

So, as an adapter I just need an M39 to M bajonet. In my case, that is a Voigtländer adapter 50/75.

There is also a viewfinder with 43mm and 50mm framelines from Pentax that comes (came) with the lens.

A still life subject in the bush: M9 and 75 Summilux.

This one is very reminiscent of the results I was getting from the Noctilux 0.95 before I went mad and sold it on.

As the original poster, I'd like to mark the 2,000th post in this thread and in particular thank everyone who has very kindly made the time and effort to post their pictures and also to thank those who have viewed the thread (150,414 at the time of writing and compared to 48,270 at the 1,000th post so we're attracting even more viewers!).

The thread has gone far beyond what I'd expected (hoped?) when I started it and has shown me and taught me so much about what older lenses can do and the real value that is stored in them. In particular I think that the thread clearly demonstrates the different look that different lenses can offer and that experimentation with all sorts of lenses can produce wonderful results.

Please continue posting because amongst its many pages this thread contains an invaluable resource for current and future use. For example, I often look back through its pages for examples from certain lenses when G.A.S. strikes and whispers in my ear that I should acquire this or that lens.

Once again thank you to everyone who has contributed!:)

Pete.
