Ecar Posted January 5 Share #14464 Posted January 5 This lens was the standard for yet another short-lived German hybrid viewfinder/reflex camera, the Ucaflex. A 6e/4g design with a very nice all-brass construction, deep blue/purple coatings and click-stopped aperture. Despite what some internet sources indicate, its mount is in M40 thread, not M39. I gave it a spin at one of the local lake harbours, as the morning frost on the boats' hulls was melting. Empty, except for a flock of ducks, and a bit eerie. Anyway, I haven't been able to find pictures taken WITH the lens on the internet, so here are a few selected shots at various distances, f-stops, etc. for illustrative purposes. To avoid drowning this thread, they are grouped in a single post (just sayin'...😉). I have a few more, but will be posting them (sparingly, pinky promise😉) sometime later. A curious lens that I'd be interested in seeing 'in the flesh' next time you're in town if that's not too presumptive of me. 😇 Pete. 90/2.8 Elmarit-M v2 in chrome with M8 and 850nm infra-red pass filter hand-held. I'll make a note of it. Probably sometime end of February. But now, I'll have to post a picture...😄 M11M + converted 1951 UCA Ucalux 50/1.9 @ f/5.6 Welcome, dear visitor! hasenvater Posted January 7 Share #14475 Posted January 7 Thanks. Until now I had always read that this lens was not that good. But that is obviously not the case.

It's actually a pretty competent little lens, that has suffered from an undeserved poor reputation.
