pattyfrank Posted September 7, 2023 Share #11421 Posted September 7, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) My dearest Pete, I looked at the post above me by "wolan" which seemed to be the same exact lens that I posted. I do not know that this exact lens is still made. There is Cooke Optics -- see here https://cookeoptics.com/lenses/. LLL is not exactly like the original either. So, there's that. "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit" -- Take it the heck off the site. Matters not to me. Life would not be normal without a lecture or two. I follow this thread 'cause I love glass and especially primes. So while I'm here, many thanks to all those who provide fascinating examples! Cheers. Advertisement Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Hi pattyfrank, Take a look here The view through older Glass. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted September 8, 2023 Author Share #11422 Posted September 8, 2023 My apologies, Patty, no lecture intended and I'm glad that you follow and enjoy the thread and contribute your lovely pictures and I hope you'll continue to do so. 🙂 To explain why I posted what I did, in the thread's opening post I wrote "There's no restriction on the type of lens except that it should not be the current model" (otherwise it's difficult to justify as 'older glass'). Wolan's picture was (I must assume) taken with the Light Lens Lab Cooke Speed Panchro 50mm f2 'version I', which - again - I assume LLL replaced with the version II that you have. It's hard to keep up with what qualifies as 'older glass' what with many Chinese manufacturers' M-mount lenses being released and the speed that Voigtlander is updating and releasing new lenses. I'm happy to be corrected and eat many slices of humble pie. Pete.
