M10-R, 50mm Nikkor-HC. There are so many micro details that I could not even attempt to see in the back screen, focussed at 45cm. So it was 'hit and move on'.

Agreed with you, in terms of close up details, it's remarkable., the colors are also vivid and stunning as well.

Oh wow, I see you've acquired the 58 Noct-Nikkor.  That was my 'dream' lens for such a long but when my 50/1 Noctilux found me 15 years ago my desire for the Noct-Nikkor waned.  Still a superb lens of course!

Yes, I had a lovely Noctilux 50/1. Sadly sold it to fund...  I honestly have seen few people who consistently produce images with that lens that are as good as yours. I started life as a Nikon girl, so I often have nostalgia for their old glass too.  Cheers.

One more example taken as a test shot, but also explains what bit me. :0)

Wonderful lens.

I had been asking around for a while trying to find someone who will be able to convert one of these to M (I know, I know, apologies to all Nikon users for the heresy...). My understanding was that it would be impossible due to the size of the rear block. Obviously not comparable, but the closest I found is this lens, which was converted to M by Amedeo Muscelli about a decade ago. He produced a small batch and probably decided that it was not worth the trouble. Fortunately, he continued to make adapters for RF lenses...

M10M + converted 1966 Nikkor-S Auto 55/1.2, wide open at MFD (in case you are wondering, focus is on the front tip of the small, leaf-shaped silver plate...)

I found this one at Popflash.com. Tony always has interesting cameras and lenses -- mostly Leica, but often Nikon, Hasselblad, Voigtlander, etc. Anything I've ask him to find, he gets it. I use an adapter 'cause I also use it on a Z7. Cheers.

You made me recall those good memories with this lens for years. I miss the seamless and creamy nostalgia rendering while it's wide open.

The following sampler(of Noct-NIKKOR 58mm F1.2) was taken with Nikon CCD camera D200 back in 2007.
