4r36 Posted March 3, 2022 Share #8764 Posted March 3, 2022 Sorry if I pose my question here. I tried to use the search function, but, as you can imagine, the words "image", "uploading", "formatting", etc., give countless results. Is there a way to limit the size of a posted image? On my computer, the image posted above is displayed considerably bigger than the previous ones...

Ecar Posted March 5, 2022 Share #8772 Posted March 5, 2022 (edited) A few more. Same camera and lens as above. First probably @ f/2.8 (not my dog, btw...), last two @ f/1.5. Last one slightly cropped, hence no apparent vignetting. Welcome, dear visitor! Alberti Posted March 6, 2022 Share #8775 Posted March 6, 2022 A lot has been said about hi-res sensors and smearing due to micro-movement: lines blurring across two cells. The same happens with 'old glass' that has not had a 'Karbe-treatment'. I am testing old glass and see some show just a bit more unsharpness in corners where previously it was less visible. here M10-R and an old 28mm f5.6 at F8. The first shows the smudge at the top of the building (my lens is not that well aligned, I know). Welcome, dear visitor! Camaro5 Posted March 6, 2022 Share #8780 Posted March 6, 2022 I've been seriously considering adding a vintage lens or two to my kit. So many of these have nice renderings but I'm not very familiar with most of them. I would prefer to stay with one kind of mount, either a Contax or M42 to not have to get multiple adapters. The one lens that does stand out to me is a Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f/2. Not too expensive to find one in decent condition, but with something pre-war I guess you never know until you try it.
