M10 + 1961 Nikkor 85/1.5 LTM, wide open and handheld at MFD (with some help from the EVF here...)

Arguably the best RF lens ever made in this particular focal length (with apologies to the Summarex or to the more recent Zeiss ZM, but I have a bias toward "real" Sonnars)

Nearly bought a Retina Reflex (in Cyprus) 1958, but customs would have clobbered me on return to UK . They were like gold-dust. (Serving in the RAF).

Escaped. Feeling freedom at the local feed & seed store, busting with color and clients. M10-P w/Summilux-M 35mm, v2 pre-ASPH at f1.4. Had ignored this lovely little lens for too long.

I have the same feeling after it's stayed at home for a while and then gets a trip out.  I shake my head, wonder why it doesn't get out more often, and I fail to find an answer.

Pete.

M10M & Nikkor-H 5cm f2 (lens design from 1946, no idea when mine was made though - if anyone knows where to look up Nikkor LTM serial numbers please let me know). The first shot was taken at 0.5m & f2; the Nikkor 50mm ltm lenses can be easily focused down to 0.5m with live view, such an ingenious way to do close ups, way better implemented than the Summicron DR...wonder why other makers don’t copy this.
