A fine example of Erman craftsmanship.

There is an investment funds company called Aberdeen who have changed their name to abrdn , I wonder if Leica might be making them some special edition cameras and have practiced on your ermany MP first? Maybe you got it for €1000 cheaper because they said it was a G less than usual, I hope so <:)

I've joined the MP Club, purchased pre loved from Red Dot Cameras this week along with the 35mm lens.

The camera is stunning and I'm very much looking forward to getting to grips with the methodology of a Leica Rangefinder.

Long time user and owner of M2, M3, M4, M5 and now a happy owner of MP black paint 0.72 and MP chrome 0.85.

What puzzels me is this inside flange. I have not seen this before. Is the purpose a better light metering or some protection for the meter? It does not seem to obstruct any use of my lenses such as 50mm Summicron DR or 21mm 3.4 Super Angulon. Borrowed the image from Labyrinth in this thread. I hope that is ok.

Mostly using it with a New Steel Rim, equipped with a Leicavit for a better grip with my large hands. I think I used the Leicavit to advance the film on two occasions just to test it out.

There is a Leica rewind crank, part 14437, on it as well as a Leica soft touch shutter button for when I shoot streets from the hip.

The cardboard film cut outs I have, are for my most used film stocks and were inspired by @S/W  post #5542 on this thread. I made a bunch of them, reversible, they have a different film stock on the other side. Coincidentally @S/W also has a Steel Rim and Leicavit on his photo of his MP on post #5542.

Anyhoo, camera strap is an Artisan and Artist ACAM-100A, the same strap model as on all my other Leica M cameras.

I use my lenses without filters or lens hood when shooting colour film stock.

A photo of my Silver Chrome MP I stumbled on yesterday, before finding a Leica Rewind Crank I briefly flirted with the idea of getting a 35 SBLOO viewfinder and quickly decided against it since you can't see the edges of the tramlines through it. But it does look good on the camera, seen here with a yellow filter when I use black and white film stock.

This is my favourite Leica set up, MP and a Leicavit with a Steel Rim, compact and great for everyday use.
