Acquired this gem a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. Here’s a few with the M-A, Portra 400.

I’m not sure why, but I’m seeing a magenta cast on the sides of these images.

Thanks. I went back to check my scans and conversions, which were otherwise untouched.

I get a lovely gooey, smeared dark purple vignette with this lens. Even more fun, I find it asymmetric depending on where the light is coming from. Really cool. But I like it more in B and W.

Where is that photo of the baseball diamond? I looks like our neighborhood...

Have a coffee at Badfish for me please, it’s good stuff. Nice spot for photos of roaming chickens.

Ha. Nice! I’ve been here for 30 years, and am there frequently. When I’m not photographing I’m on the bike trail….often both.

Always with this lens, always. I love it on a monochrom.

With a high probability the vignetting of the lens underexposed the sides and corners which lead to colour shifts. That's why a lens’ vignetting should be considered when thinking about the EI (exposure index). The difference between the centre of a photo and the corner can be up to 2 stops, depending on the lens.

It’s best practice to reduce the EI by 1 stop compared to box speed. But even that often isn’t enough. In B&W that’s somewhat of an non-issue but shadows in the corners can turn out flat as well, of course.

this lens is wonderful

sharpness and color rendering not second to none

Let's begin with a 100% crop,#1 just to see how this lens can render on M10,

then the whole frame #2
