So there is nothing to "debunk" here, some don't want to spend 2600 euro on this lens but would buy it for less money and thats ok and (at least for me) understandable.

I doubt a cheaper copy is going to be a big seller. The Summaron-M is a lens that largely appeals to Leica fanboys (which we all are, to a greater or lesser extent) and the £2,000 or so cost is reasonable by Leica standards. I don't think there's a huge number of Leica enthusiasts itching to buy the lens but who are currently deterred by the cost and, in any case, they won't be interested in a Chinese copy at any price. Outside this Leica enthusiast world, an F5.6 'soft in the corners' manual focus lens simply isn't desirable at all.

I have it. The more you are using it, the more you love it.

Maybe not Leica 'enthusiasts' but Im sure it'll appeal to many street photographers who want a nimble, compact and unobtrusive everyday carry lens that is relatively inexpensive, and won't care that it'll be banged around during use. Neither would they care about soft corners when they shoot mostly stopped down...

Horses for courses.

Leica original Summaron-M 28mm is kind of miracle lens for me to discover (or not depending on one's taste ! ).

I appreciate a lot, no sun stars, very small amount of coma, I use when there can have (with other lens) disturbing sun stars/coma,

here is an example taken more than some four years ago, when I learned the lens

New summaron, soft corners? Not what I experience with both my copies. Just falloff, very sharp.

Beautiful Beautiful lens.

YES beautiful Beautiful lens.

May I add that it's not for every use(r), not easy lens to learn how to use at best.

Second to none, anyway.

I feel like the shots from this lens doesn't need much touch up afterwards because the imperfections adds to the mood.

What's difficult about it?

I did not write 'difficult', Ian.

Not easy lens to be learned how to use at best.

I had some difficulties at first, like having my digit in the image, so compact this lens is.

The f/5.6 aperture can be limiting for some users (not me ! ), as said, no sun stars wide open and no coma to care to be appreciated.

The colours look different to my other lenses too. Or is it just in my head?

On the SL2 I get images that look quite like slide photos to my eyes, the color on this lens is very different I think to any of my other (modern) M glass.
