Thats  impressive, you are spot on! In fact on a clear day the Needles would be on the horizon.

The groyne could of course be almost anywhere but with your stated location of Ferndown and having seen some of your previous photos from Dorset I thought it might have been taken on that long stretch of sand between Bournemouth and Hengistbury Head.

It's the Poole end of bay, at Branksome, just before Sandbanks Ferry.

LOVE all the photos you have posted with this lens on film. I was sold on this lens already, but now that I am shooting film again, and just got an MP, I'm going to have to get one.

I've finally joined the Summaron Club.  Buying a new Leica lens seems to be a 1 in 12 year event for me.

Fresh out of the box and on the MP:

That's a higher new lens buying frequency than me 🙂

It's a great lens, I can't wait to see your work with it!!

Congratulations. It works fine without the hood as the little front element is so deeply recessed .I would keep those buckles well away from the lovely black paint on your MP.

Lots of people will undoubtedly shout at me but when you connect to a bit of kit, whether a car, camera, tennis racket or golf club, the comfort and ease promotes better outcomes.

I have a 28 Elmarit ASPH v.2 and shot @ ƒ/8, doubt I could tell any difference. Perhaps even ƒ/5.6. I do love the size of the Summaron. Got a CV 3,5/28 LTM that I'm similarly fond of because of its pancake size and rendering in B&W.

I can't comment on the other items but for camera/lenses and musical instruments I entirely agree. Most important though is knowledge of how to use them to get what you want out of your equipment.
