Advertisement Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hi zmcm, Take a look here Leica lens 35mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted October 11, 2016 Share #22 Â Posted October 11, 2016 Only 35/2.5 sorry. Excellent lens but softer than the C-Biogon in borders and corners below f/5.6.
haljaberi Posted October 11, 2016 Share #23  Posted October 11, 2016 Guys what about summarit 35/2.4 ASPH? Anyone have it? Thanks   Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk I will take Summicron over Summarit at any day. The Summarit is superb light weight lens. I still own the 50mm and it is not easy to handle, I am looking for the day when I can afford to buy APO Summicron. I don't know how you will use it, but my experience; as amaetur; with Summarit that it is great lens when all conditions are on my favour and stop down at f4. But, I always have difficulties when capturing object at low light conditions. That can be corrected at LR, though.  Sent from my EVA-L19 using Tapatalk
michaelwj Posted October 11, 2016 Share #24 Â Posted October 11, 2016 I've said it before, but M mount 35mm lenses are like pizza. They're all great, they just taste different.

jim0266 Posted October 12, 2016 Share #26  Posted October 12, 2016 Late to this thread, but adding it in case it benefits anyone.  As an owner of the 35 C-Biogon I've become a fan of this lens. I love compact 35 lenses and wanted to test the 35 Summarit at some point. Finally got a chance to use a 35/2.4 Summarit for a week. Always have to bear on mind sample-to-sample variations, but here is what I found:  -- The Summarit was actually a little better in some instances in the far corners than the Biogon. You would have to view an image extremely large to make any difference. This is contrary to what others have reported.  -- Keep seeing complaints about the high contrast of the Zeiss. The Summarit was just as contrasty. I have never been bothered by the contrast of the Zeiss.  -- The Summarit I used suffered from focus shift. There is none on the Biogon.  -- I preferred the OOF rendering of the Zeiss, but found the Leica OOF rendering fine.  -- The build quality on the Leica was excellent, although my copy was already in need of a lube job. Perhaps a trip to DAG would have fixed it. I've spoken with Don and he is not a fan of the grease Leica is using in their new lenses. Nifty lens hood.  -- The Zeiss is probably more like a 36.5mm lens.  -- The detail the Biogon pulls from an image is amazing. When viewing certain images from both lenses side-by-side on a 27" iMac Retina, it's noticeable.  I sold off my ASPH Cron after buying my C-Biogon. I would also consider the Summart a better lens than the ASPH Cron if you can live with a little slower speed. Considering the price and image quality of the ZM 35mm 2.8 C-Biogon, it's a steal.  If anyone wants RAW images out of an M262 showing side-by-side images email me at jim0266 through GMail.
