Just returned from safari in Ruaha and Selous in Tanzania. The SL performed 100% perfect. It was a pure joy to use this camera, and espicially the 90-280 zoom. I had a spare battery with me all the time, but it was never necessary to change the batteries; I was able to squeeze 450 shots out of the battery.

When I got home  I was more than pleased with til quality of the files, and espicially with the hitrate of the AF on the lenses.

Sorry : I can`t upload the picture I wanted.

Go to the photo forums. Make the image for instance 1024 pixels on the longest side, sRGB 8 bits.

Use the basic uploader.

That is a nice area to go. I know it well. Where did you go in the parks?

I have been trying all evening to upload the picture of the hippo.

Perhaps somebody can help me :

In LR I export the picture to my desktop, limiting the size to 500 kb, as this here homepage says i shall - but then LR tells me that it is not possible to do so. Then what shall I do ??.

I will really like to show it to you.

We stayed at the Rufiji River camp in Selous and the Ruaha River lodge in Ruaha. Great places, and really a lot of wildlife, and best of all: no other cars around when we were driving

Set the LR export parameters to these:

note ...... you can only upload 500k total per post ...... either multiple small images totalling 500k or one big one.

Hurra !! It worked.

Thank you so much for your help

About the AF and the 90-280 :

I used single point AFs, and it s locked perfectly every time.

The picture of the hippo is actually onle one out of 10 pictures. The hippo came charging and the AF got every one of them 100% sharp.

I have taken more than 1600 pictures on the whole trip, and going through the files now I can see that only five pictures are not sharp.

I also use Canon 1Dx, and to me it seems that the AF in the SL is just as good., even when shooting birds in flight.
