Informal opportunity for tomorrow (Thur). If anyone is interested, I will be under the clocks @ Flinders Street railway Station @ about 10am. I am happy to lead you astray around the CBD to such places as Hosier lane (super graffiti), Degraves St lanes, Michael's camera Store Museum, The Old Shot Tower (inside Melb.Central), The Victoria State Library and dome. Then maybe to China Town for lunch of dumplings or whatever.

I will need to depart to meet my surgeon (post op) by 1pm'ish, but by then you all should have a feel of how to fly by yourselves.

My Mob. # is +61(4)double one, double 65, 285. obviously rewrite it in all numerals. This is to prevent robots pestering me.

A WhatsApp group has been formed so we can all track our movements jointly. If you wish to join it, text your number to me and I will facilitates you to be included.

If you have any issues with locating "Under The Clocks", call me for better directions.

Off to bed now. Had a big day. Ciou.

Won't be there in time, but thanks for the offer.

Rgds

+1 Sorry couldn't make it; have fun!

Philippe,

It will be strange having a One Challenge without you since I believe that you hold the impressive record of being the only person to have attended all 13 of the Leica One Challenges and first Leica One Australasian Challenge (what commitment!). Jusqu'à Rome, Mon Brave!

Andy,

I had no intention to downplay the impressive record that you also hold with Philippe of having attended all of the 13(?) Leica One Challenges although you have additionally have arranged the past 5 Challenges and Rome this time around. It will be just as strange not having you and Ann in attendance here.

Pete.

UPDATE:

Tomorrow, (Friday) there will be two meeting points to travel to Camera Clinic.

1. Under the Flinders Street Station Clocks @ 9am, to then walk to meeting place # 2.

2. North East corner of Swanston and Bourke Streets, at 9:30am, to catch the number 86 tram, to Collingwood.

That trip should take approx. 1/2 hour which gets us there around 10am.

Camera Clinic are expecting about 22 of us and are beavering away to prepare for us! I think Ryan Williams, CEO of Leica Australia, will be there to greet us as well.

See you all tomorrow!

Got into Melbourne today at about 7:00am after 5 days in Singapore, staying at the Langham.

Looking forward to bumping into familiar and new faces, although we already said hello to Stefan who was having breakfast at the same place as us.

Thanks Erl. Great!

I'm looking to get into Melbourne at 8:30 so by the time I drop off my bag at Travelodge and take the tram to Camera Clinic it may be about 10am or a little later before I meet up with you all.

Looking forward to it.

Hi John,

I'll be there. Do we need Myki cards for this ride or is it in the free zone?

Thanks,

Dan

No idea if I can make it by 9am.

Hi Dan, yes you will need a Myki card. Get it at Flinders Street Railway Station or a 711 store. Ask your Hotel if they can help you. In an emergency, call me if you have trouble.

Enjoy Friday.

Will see you on Saturday to be challenged but can't do dinner.

Remember to be at the Arbory at midday, to sign on to the Challenge.

The Arbory is that long narrow cafe on Flinders Walk, between the Yarra River and Flinders Street Station.

Competition fee is $10 per competitor, winner takes all.

Full rules will be posted this afternoon, when I get a moment!
