dkmoore Posted September 7, 2016 Share #1 Â Posted September 7, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Â Any tips or guidance to track down the allusive 12466 shade? I have been keeping my eye out on eBay for a couple of years but haven't had any luck so far. Â I noticed I missed one pop up in early August but unfortunately didn't see it. Â Anywhere else to look? Â Thanks for the help!

IWC Doppel Posted September 7, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted September 7, 2016 Might be worth advertising in the wanted section. I can't recall where I bought mine from. It stays on my 28mm summicron
IWC Doppel Posted September 7, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted September 7, 2016 PS I did set up a search on the bay to save regular looking if you haven't already

dkmoore Posted September 7, 2016 Author Share #5 Â Posted September 7, 2016 Thanks IWC, I didn't realize you could do that on eBay. I should have thought to check. I actually use the bay a lot so it is silly that I haven't explored that option. Â lct - I am checking as we speak. Thanks!

dkmoore Posted September 7, 2016 Author Share #7  Posted September 7, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration)  Did you check there? http://bergencountycamera.com/buying-selling-used-equipment-faq.html http://bergencountycamera.com/bannerImages/used-equipment/weekly-usedlist.pdf    I am assuming because this is a Leica product that it works well on the 28 Cron. Do you have that experience? Does it lock firmly?  I should have asked prior but I just assume all Leica products work well : )
lct Posted September 7, 2016 Share #8 Â Posted September 7, 2016 Thanks for the coffee! Don't worry about your 12466 hood. Fits nicely on the 28/2 v1. Only con is it gets somewhat in the way when rotating the aperture ring but you might find it perfect for your fingers. Otherwise the hood is so difficult to find that it will be easy to sell anyway. dkmoore Posted September 7, 2016 Author Share #10 Â Posted September 7, 2016 lct & IWC, Â I looked at both your links/pictures and love the look of the vented metal hood on the 28 Summicron. It looks so much better and I am glad I splurged. Â I feel awkward writing to people using their usernames but such is forum life! Â Dustin

dkmoore Posted September 11, 2016 Author Share #12  Posted September 11, 2016 Hi again,  I received the hood and it is in mint condition with the box and looks great on the Cron.  Quick question though, are there any markings on your copies of the lens hood? I cannot locate a serial number, Leica name, anything on the hood.  Just want to be sure I didn't pay $350.00 for a fake.  Thank you for your help!
