Advertisement Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Hi Iron Flatline, Take a look here First Picture of R10 Digital. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicazo Posted September 24, 2007 Share #22 Posted September 24, 2007 Hi everyone! I'm a new member in the forum and I confess that I registered to see image of the new leica R10 uploaded by Ruiespanhol... hehehe. As R10dreamer says, never mind it's look... just RELEASE it soon!!!! Any official news of the R10 at the moment? I'm working on R4s and R6.2 I had been wondering whether to move to R9 with Digital Back. Of course it's prize was one of the reasons, but the fact that it's matrix was half the 24x36 made all my lenses so different!!! And i'm with leica because of its lenses. That's why i'm so interested in R10... http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/images/smilies/smile.gif saludos, leicazo
Overgaard Posted September 25, 2007 Share #23 Posted September 25, 2007 Would be perfect with an R10 continuing the line of R8 and R9 which is so perfectly build, designed and ergonomic to use. The feel of it is several levels above the Canon feel. Of course these are mocked up designs based on a R9 photo. Anyway, it makes me want one now. What I fear the most is a completely new Leica R10 based on Panasonic design and what is out there on the market already, instead of based onthe R9 design. Ain't gonna happen. The mock-up is pretty close to what we will see. The Germans are just too good at design to do otherwise. Wait and see... you're gonna love it. Paul Gruyters Posted September 26, 2007 Share #25 Posted September 26, 2007 ... and here is the back of the R10! I assume that it is going to be a made in Japan job. Leica stress "Made in Germany", not "Leica Camera Germany" as do the Japanaese models.

My biggest fear is Leica fails to make a solid announcement before Canon releases an update to the EOS 1DsMkIII. I need a reason to hold on an upgrade to my Canon System. An R10 for me would be like a god-send. Since I transitioned to all digital in 2002 I have been hungry for a Leica DSLR I could use in the field. ns_ng Posted January 11, 2009 Share #27 Posted January 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have a feeling the R10 might look like a downsized S2. However, I would not mind if the R10 looks like the R8/R9. These two have great ergonomy. I will put my money on the table now if Leica can release the R10 for sale within this year! N.S. farnz Posted January 11, 2009 Share #28 Posted January 11, 2009 Strange that it still has the switch to open the back <grin> Steve, This opens the 'glove compartment' for storing extra cards and batteries. And gloves. Pete.

Dan States Posted January 11, 2009 Share #30 Posted January 11, 2009 Real shots or otherwise, if Leica really wanted to differentiate themselves they would come out with a film/digital hybrid in this size body. Otherwise they are just competing with everyone else on an equal playing field. They did it once (mostly) and it was pretty good actually. Money wasted on the S2 could have been invested in a camera with a much bigger market.
mhoersch Posted January 11, 2009 Share #31 Posted January 11, 2009 Boy, am I glad they keep the the "Protect" Button on the R10!
thrid Posted January 11, 2009 Share #32 Posted January 11, 2009 Luigi, I beg to differ, the R8/9 is a fantastic looking camera, and if you've ever held one you'd realise that is is possibly _the_ most ergonomic SLR out there. No it isn't a body with a huge pentaprism stuck on top, but it's attractive on its own terms. The photograph is probably a fake, but this is what I'd expect the R10 to look like. I agree. I love my R8. In terms of ergonomics it's brilliant and actually quite beautiful in person. My only complaint is that it is a little too heavy and if possible I would shrink it down by 10-15% in size.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted January 12, 2009 Share #33 Posted January 12, 2009 Call me nuts.. but it seems to me that with the experience and background of most users today... hey somebody ought to be able to do a better photoshop job on those "pre release" images. at least get the details straight and in perspective. jaapv Posted January 12, 2009 Share #34 Posted January 12, 2009 I think "money wasted" is not correct. The S2 is not only a prestige project for the pro market, it is a technology platform. You'll see a lot ot the S2 developments return in the R10 (and, sometime.. in the M9) Money wasted on the S2 could have been invested in a camera with a much bigger market. rosuna Posted January 12, 2009 Share #35 Posted January 12, 2009 I would like to see the four buttom interface of the S2 trasposed to the R10 and M9...
miami91 Posted January 12, 2009 Share #36 Posted January 12, 2009 I would like to see the four buttom interface of the S2 trasposed to the R10 and M9... Agreed ---- the S2s clean interface is really attractive.
