Dan -

You've perfectly evoked the 1960s, with drive-in restaurants (with car-hops, some on skates), American Grafitti, and kustom kars (the last as a result of the "decking & Frenching" of the Stingray, and it's beautiful custom paint). It's probably a '64 or '65. In front of it is a GM car from the mid 50s ('54-'56), but it's too out of focus to see if it is Chevy, Buick or Olds. Lovely photo.

More important than what you did use to take this picture, for me, is : Why ?

I like to read your answer to this question...

Thanks.

Christophe - I love shooting at twilight..and shooting cars is something I truly enjoy. The lines of this Corvette are what caught my eye. I shoot for a living, my dayjob is all digital corporate stuff...this represents the fun for me - film and simple enjoyment.

Very nice shot Dan. Great choice of lens and focus for this shot. The Noctilux handled the oof areas nicely. What film did you use? Paul.

Thanks Paul. I will double check, but I am almost positive it was good old consumer grade Gold 200. I've been on a Portra kick lately, but this is all I had in color that night. Was sort of an unexpected evening out....

Really pleasing shot Dan! Your capture of the twilight tones is remarkable.

There were some great designs from that period in the mid fifties (when it was discovered that they could really bend glass) through to the end of the sixties when it went out of fashion.
