ralphh Posted July 9, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted July 9, 2016 My wife loves this shot so I had it printed 18x12" and popped it on the wall. There's something about it that looks really 3D what viewing it from across the room. I'm not sure if it's the perspective given by the sweep of the fountain edge, or the subtle DoF drop off or what, but it's the first photo I've put on the wall that looks 3D. It's also the first photo from my Leica I've put up. Looking forward to seeing if my next ones exhibit the same quality!!
XVarior Posted July 9, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2016 This is a timeless shot. You did so well in hanging it on a wall. Delightful www.rodriguezahr.com

Lee Martin Posted July 14, 2016 Share #7 Posted July 14, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Another great shot, and again it sums up childhood and fun. It's great to hear that people are printing photos and enjoying them on the wall. There's too much great work hiding on hard drives that should be enjoyed. ralphh Posted July 14, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted July 14, 2016 Thanks Lee! I print most of my good photos. A 18x12 inch print is only about £10 these days. Doesn't make sense not to. I strongly believe work needs to be printed and enjoyed properly. I look at this photo most days. If it was on my hard disk only I'd probably only look at it when someone commented on this thread

You can only appreciate how good it is printed properly or when it's on the wall. Even photo books are a pale imitation of a well printed image. Lee Martin Posted July 27, 2016 Share #10 Posted July 27, 2016 I haven't tried the Leica photo printing service, but just made a book A3 size as a gift, using the Canon HD photo book service on their gloss paper. It really is impressive, not cheap , but lovely quality
