tom24 Posted May 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello. I would ask for advice. I am a new user of Leica Q. Excellent camera. J I work with DNG files in Lightroom. Under the tab Camera calibration are two profiles, namely Embedded Standard and Adobe. When using these two colors are different, and also the color temperature (White balance –WB in numbers). What is your experience - which profile is correct for the proper display of color and as a basis for further processing. Thank you. Best regards. jaapv Posted May 6, 2016 Share #2 Posted May 6, 2016 Welcome. To judge colour you must use a decent monitor and calibrate it. Then you can adjust the colour to your taste. You might like one or the other - or neither, in which case you need to create your own camera profile.

marchyman Posted May 6, 2016 Share #4 Posted May 6, 2016 See this thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/259989-colors-dng/ Which one do you like? Unless you are shooting where color accuracy is an absolute necessity you can pick the one you like. I mostly use the profile I generated with the colorchecker but sometimes use one of the other profiles. Or I might use the lightroom split toning panel to adjust the tone of highlights or shadows. As Jaap noted you must start with a calibrated monitor.
