Nice image. Why so dark?

hmmmm.  I tend to like images on the darker side . . . and this is sooooo cropped, I felt lighter would have shown the noise more. But . . . here it is lighter . . . .

Well, my bad. It’s a really sharp image. It’s all art and I respect your personal preference. 👏👏

no - its fine - it was a good comment and I benefited from lightening up the image and seeing the difference.

Summer is over. We received a dusting of snow over night and it's cold here. A little more snow later today is forecasted in Colorado. Leica Q2, macro, 1/250, f/16, ISO 100, manual focus, Canon MR-14 EX II Ring Flash, handheld. Extreme crop, but still sharp. The flower is very small. I'd guess 1 cm diameter across the leaves.

Beautiful picture. The red in the middle of the flower coming out of the snow crystals attracts the attention. Do you have an idea how much your cropped ?

Good question. The original image (full frame) was 8368 x 5584 pixels. The cropped image is 878 x 1316 pixels. A 6.4X reduction if you consider the diagonal dimensions. The equivalent of a focal length of 178mm. Clearly that is not an image one could print much more than 4" x 6", but it still exhibits a good amount of detail for viewing. I continue to be pretty impressed with the overall resolution and sharpness of the Q2 lens and sensor combination. One can easily use the base resolution to then crop to 35mm or 50mm and beyond while still maintaining significant pixel dimensions. My flower image is extreme and only valuable to see how it looks so highly cropped.
