Thanks for all those who turned up - it was fun and the exhibition was great. Many apologies Mustograpgher that we missed you - it was all a little haphazard after the exhibition when we found the pub had been taken over.

Nice to see some old and new faces - we must do this more often!

I have posted some photos of the event on more blog - please take a look if interested:

Not to worry Nick, these things can happen. It was good to meet you and Dan, however briefly, and I did manage to have a good chat with Tim in the exhibition.

It's a wonderful show - and the reason I didn't leave with you all promptly is that I was mesmerised by the Larrain pictures, who was a new discovery for me too - a great photographer clearly. Hope to meet more of you next time - as long as the football supporters don't muck things up again.       I shall probably go to Photographica tomorrow - what is a good time to go?

Thanks for arranging, Nick.  It was great to see so many friends (25 or so I think) and to meet Mioki (sp?), Bill L, Adam, Pedro, and Alistair.  It was a shame that the Crystal Palace football supporters nicked our pub but The Masque Haunt filled in very well (thanks, jcraf).  It had changed character quite a lot by 8pm and was filled with a large number of young, quite drunk, and excitable people but they didn't bother us so all was fine.

It was a very enjoyable day.

Pete.

My wife will guard it for a fiver.

She's unlikely to run away with it. But even if she does, we'll soon catch her as she'll also be weighed down with my Billingham, and more significantly, her own handbag.

At one minute .... even kids know about your wife's handbag :)

Thank you Nick for setting up the day. It was great to bring some Leica friends combining a little street shooting, the gallery and lunch.

To complete the collection of portraits, here's one of you in action

I would like to add my thanks to Nick for organising yesterday's meet. Very enjoyable meeting so many of you for the first time and an absolutely wonderful exhibition. I will certainly visit again.

The Sergio Larrain photos of London 1958-1959 were particularly interesting. An unknown photographer to me prior to this exhibition, but one I will explore more in the future.

Although photography isn't allowed in the gallery, I managed to have a quiet word with one of the staff and sneaked a quick photo of the Sergio Larrain section...

It seems that Larrain was a great discovery for several of us. The 2013 retrospective "Sergio Larrain: Vagabond Photographer" is still available at Amazon and is a marvellous book. (It was getting lost in the exhibition's copy which made me miss you all leaving and therefore the rest of the day!)

I'm just back from Photographica where though I didn't bump into any of you I did find an immaculate Tele-Elmar 135 and a Leica 28 finder for next to nothing. So thanks to the forum, and Nick in particular, without whose efforts I wouldn't have known about either Larrain OR Photographica.

Near the Old (Full) Red Cow, we spotted some Porsches beginning to roost down near Smithfield Market, for a Porsche Club GB meet.  In the end there would be about 20...

And I even spotted an oasis in the concrete desert.
